Machu archaeological format
The archaeology layer is based on information from the MoSS master management plan.
A management plan could be seen as a collection of information-elements that applies to an archaeological object (or site).
A selection of these information-elements (as described by the fields of the shapefile) forms the archaeology layer that can
be presented and questioned by the GIS.
Number of object:
used to uniquely identify the object
and make it possible to link new information
to the object cq. managementplan.
This id is a 2 letter country code (ISO3166-1)
combined with unique number (could also be
NATREG number or code) e.g. NL_41204
Name of object:
Name usually a toponym, given in reference to the position of the wreck.
In practise this is the name how it is usually described in the databases.
E.g. BZN 3 (Burgzand Noord 3)
Popular/common name of object:
Name given by divers/public. i.g. wreck near point....
Original name of object:
The name can be given when it is known e.g.
Kind of object:
shipwreck search area

First possible year of date:
e.g. 700 (meaning 700 BC) Number may be used to select object by age.
Last possible year of date:
