Information about privacy in the context of supervision by the HU elite sports coordinators:

My 'special personal data' (such as data about top sports, achieved figures) are protected by law according to the General Data Protection Regulation
The elite sports coordinators and the direct staff of student affairs, deans keep my details secret;
The top sport coordinators use my data to support my dual career elite sport – study;
The top sport coordinators may provide information about me to third parties within the University of Applied Sciences (HU) for the purpose of supporting my dual career elite sport study (such as the examination board, profiling fund, the institute director, the program manager, dean, study coach or learning team supervisor).
The elite sports coordinators store data (and this statement) according to legal terms;

In the event of exceptional performances by the elite athlete, the HU may mention the name of the elite athlete, the sport and the study in its reporting (such as newsletters and social media). When placing images on the HU website, separate permission will be requested from the relevant elite athlete).
I can always withdraw my consent via topsport@hu.nl with the request to delete my (special) personal data that I have provided to the elite sports coordinators. According to the General Data Protection Regulation, the elite sports coordinators will respond to my request within one month.

1. Processing of my (special) personal data in a file (word/excel):

My (special) personal data are included in my personal digital file for inspection by elite sports coordinators only.
Purpose: This information is intended to support my study progress in combination with elite sport.

2. Confidential advice to the Examination Board:

The elite sports coordinators are allowed - if this proves necessary - to make confidential advice about my elite sports conditions to the Examination Board.
Purpose: study advice and/or requests for facilities and/or facilities in the context of elite sport for my study progress.

3. Confidential advice to the Profiling Fund:

The elite sports coordinators may - if this proves necessary - to provide confidential advice to the Profiling Fund about my elite sports conditions.
Purpose: to request financial support in case of study delay as a result of special circumstances for my study progress.

4. Confidential advice to institute / study program:

The elite sports coordinators are allowed - if this proves necessary - to provide confidential advice about my elite sports conditions to the institute director, institute secretary, program manager, program team leader and/or dean.
Purpose: to request facilities and/or facilities in the context of my elite sport for my study progress.

5. Use of extraordinary achievements via site or social media.

In the case of special achievements, the HU may mention the name of the student, sport and the study they are following in newsletters and/or social media. If this permission is withdrawn, the elite sports coordinator can stop sharing information, but information that has already been posted may not be completely removed from the internet. When placing images on the HU website, separate permission will be requested with a permission form.
