Sign up for the Hanze Talk with war correspondent Daphne Wesdorp

Alumnus and presenter Nathan de Vries will interview Daphne Wesdorp in the newest Hanze Talk. She once started studying Fine Arts at Academie Minerva, but now she is doing something completely different. Daphne is a Dutch war correspondent who travels the world to report on crises and their impact on civilians. She has worked in Kurdistan, Iraq, Myanmar, Kosovo, Palestine and Ukraine. And she is only 26 years old!

How did Daphne become a war correspondent? What path did she take to get there? Doesn't she find it scary to travel to the most bizarre places? On 23 April, alumnus and presenter Nathan de Vries will talk to her, after which there will of course be room for questions from the audience. Afterwards there will be drinks and veggie snacks to meet fellow students and discuss the topic further. Feel free to join!

Date: Tuesday 23 April, 2024
Time: 15:30-17:00 (including drinks and snacks afterwards)
Location: Conference room Gerardus de San at Van OlstBorg (Zernikeplein 7, Groningen)
Language: English

This talk is organised by Hanze Culture and Debate in collaboration with the Honours programme 'Pillars of Democracy'.
