APPOINTMENT 1st ADMISSION ROUND BASICYEAR FULLTIME (EU/EEA)

ONLY DUTCH & OTHER EU/EEA (& Swiss) Basicyear applicants do our 1st admission round via online consultation interview,
and are obliged to book a consultation appointment!


All non-EU/EEA Basicyear candidates, and all candidates applying for the 2nd/3rd bachelor year full-time:
must do the 1st admission round through our online portfolio machine (without online interview).

All Basicyear consultations for EEA-applicants 2026-2027 are online via Teams.

DON'T have to come to our academy for the 1st admission round & you don't have to submit a portfolio before or after the interview!

BASICYEAR ENTRANCE EXAMS (2nd admission round) are face-to-face at our academy in Amsterdam, scheduled on 1 morning or afternoon in:
- week 16: 13-17 April 2026 (but only if you have submitted the mandatory application questions/documentation on our application portal).

Appointments can be booked maximally 3-4 weeks in advance only!

Our regular Basicyear consultations ran till mid-Februrary, but we offer limited extra consultations till 26 March!

NOTE: Don't you see any dates after clicking the Select a date-field? This means all consultations in that week are fully booked!
NOTE2: If you can't attend your appointment after all, cancel by e-mail to apply[at]rietveldacademie.nl,
or run the risk of being excluded from further participation in our admissions procedure.

NOTE: applicants for the 2nd/3rd year entry must submit a portfolio pdf through our closed application portal for the 1st round.
If you didn't submit a registration requeest in Studielink for "Advanced year", but for 1st year by mistake...
please change your application in Studielink and wait to receive a new info-mail with new instructions about the 1st round.
