Post-submission message |

You can have Formdesk display a message when the form is submitted. You can use this message, for instance, to thank the visitor and/or display the completed form. |

How can I enable the message after submission? |
|
Go to the Settings tab of your form and click the Post-Submission Page icon. Enable the Post-submission message as illustratred below. |

Click the ‘Edit message’ button to customize your message. This will open a new browser window, which allows you to compose your message. |
|
If you wish, you can define the message in HTML. Simply click the Source tab.
Note: You cannot use and tags in this message. Formdesk generates the message within the tag. |

Entries of the completed form and other variable data can be added using merge codes by simply clicking the [abc] button on the toolbar. For instance: to insert the completed form into your message, use the [_fd_CompletedForm] code.

While using merge codes, it can sometimes be useful to check the operation of the codes. To do so, click the Preview tab. To generate the preview, Formdesk uses the latest result of your form. If you have no results, Formdesk will ask you to fill out the form once. |

Unfinished entries |
The post-submission process such as displaying the message after submission will not be executed until all of the following actions have been performed:
Email address is verified, if the Email verification is used;
The entry has been declared ready, if the store entries, finish later option is used;
Visitor has confirmed his/her entry, if the Confirmation screen is used.
